Job summary

Embark is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our outsourced accounting practice. You will contribute to back-office and fractional accounting services for clients nationwide, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and adherence to U.S. GAAP.

The role requires 4+ years in corporate accounting, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency. Competitive salary offered, plus comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in corporate accounting and/or Big 4/public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multitask.
• Experience with close management programs (Floqast).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Gemini).
• Experience with multiple general ledger systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct).

• Grow our outsourced accounting practice by delivering back-office, fractional accounting services to diverse clients nationwide.
• Provide superior client service and meet Embark's lofty standards.
• Contribute to monthly closes and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with documentation of processes and procedures where applicable.

We provide back-office, fractional accounting services to a variety of clients across the country. Simply put, our objective is to provide superior client service by executing at a level that meets Embark's lofty standards. To be a good fit for our Senior Accountant role you will have:
• 4+ years of experience in corporate accounting and/or Big 4/public accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel

• Operational accounting & monthly close experience Added bonus if you have:
• Process and procedures documentation experience

• SEC filing exposure/experience
