Embark is seeking an Outsourcing Senior Manager to grow our accounting practice across the United States, focusing on back-office services for oil & gas clients. You will lead a collaborative team delivering timely financial close, reporting, and client service excellence.

The role requires 8+ years in corporate accounting, US GAAP expertise, and experience with external clients. We offer extensive benefits, growth opportunities, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting.
• 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting environments, with focus on E&P/upstream.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Operational accounting experience (revenue, AP/JIB).
• Financial reporting background preferred.
• Experience with multiple accounting systems (Quorum On Demand preferred).

Outsourcing Accounting Practice

We are looking for individuals to play an integral role in growing our outsourcing accounting practice. We serve a variety of clients across the country by performing their back office accounting functions. Simply put, our objective is to provide superior client service by executing at a level that meets Embark's lofty standards. Our service includes recording and reporting transactions, such as receiving and recording accounts payable, month/quarter/year-end close, financial and management reporting, and more. You would be working with a collaborative team across multiple clients and multiple industries to provide them with the best product and service possible.

To be a good fit for our O&G Outsourcing Senior Manager role you will have:

• A bachelor’s degree, or higher, in accounting
• 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting environments, with a primary focus on E&P/upstream companies
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Operational accounting experience in areas such as revenue and AP/JIB
• Financial reporting background preferred
• Experience working in multiple accounting systems, such as Quorum On Demand (preferred), Enertia, PakEnergy, or other relevant oil & gas software experience
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• A high sense of urgency, strong initiative, and the ability to juggle multiple projects & clients
