Job summary

The Hollister Group in Boston seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures, collaborating with a professional team devoted to transparency and excellence. You will own month-end close processes, draft financial statements, and coordinate with auditors to produce high-quality external reports.

Candidates should have 2–3+ years in public or 4–6+ years in corporate accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or CPA preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and external reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Close out the month, build cash flow statements and supporting schedules.
• Draft quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes; coordinate with auditors.
• Address reviewer comments and track edits to closure.
• Prepare recurring monthly and quarterly external reports.
• Assist with quarterly earnings release preparation.
• Monitor peer reporting practices and bring insights.
• Streamline processes, develop templates, and apply automation/AI where helpful.
• Maintain controls, procedures and desk manuals.
• Tackle special projects and technical accounting research.
