Job summary

KnitWell Group in Hingham, MA is seeking a Sr Accountant – External Reporting to lead quarterly and annual US GAAP financial statements, coordinate deliverables, and ensure accuracy of disclosures.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years of external reporting experience (Big Four preferred), CPA preferred, and strong Excel and internal controls knowledge; you will work with auditors and implement reporting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preparing or auditing financial statements and note disclosures, preferably in Big Four or national accounting firm.
• Exposure to internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate the quarterly and annual financial reporting process, including the coordination of deliverables from other departments.
• Prepare, review and tie out supporting schedules for the quarterly financial external statements.
• Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports.
• Serve as a key liaison for the external auditors quarterly and annual audits.
• Assist with the implementation and testing of financial reporting software.
• Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist with the testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
