Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, the monthly close, and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.

Candidates should have a BA in accounting, 3–5+ years of experience, and proficiency with Excel and at least one ERP system such as NetSuite or Dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills with PivotTables and lookups.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable and cash-related accounting.
• Prepare accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset schedules.
• Analyze account activity and research variances or unusual transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for external audits.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
• Support improvements to accounting procedures and controls.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
