UG2 in Boston seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to oversee and manage financial activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and GAAP compliance. You will perform accounting duties, analyze financial data, and support financial reporting.

You will participate in month-end close, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and prepare journal entries. The role collaborates with leadership to improve processes and control environment in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience with financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Mansioni

• Participate in day-to-day accounting operations including Month End Close, reporting, and GL analysis.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses in GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis, forecasting, and identify trends for improvements.
• Assist in external audit preparations and ensure audit requirements compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes and adjust as needed.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
