Job summary

Polymer Science, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, GL, cost accounting, and budgeting for our polymer manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and process improvements.

You will collaborate with operations, procurement, HR, and leadership to maintain strong internal controls and drive accurate financial reporting. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• ERP experience with SAP or NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated integrity and high-quality financial work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; reconcile accounts; support close processes.
• Maintain GL accuracy, post journal entries, and ensure proper coding.
• Track production costs, analyze variances, and support inventory valuation.
• Process invoices, monitor aging, ensure timely collections, and maintain vendor compliance.
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and departmental spend analysis.
• Support internal and external audits; maintain documentation; ensure adherence to GAAP.
