Job summary

Atom Computing, Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant to support its accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The role reports to the Controller and requires onsite work at the Boulder office five days per week.

You will manage core accounting activities, perform month-end close, and strengthen internal controls while partnering with Finance and cross-functional teams to support business decisions. A CPA and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Experience managing month-end close independently.
• Experience developing or improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, project accounting, revenue recognition, and reconciliations.
• Execute the month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and GAAP compliance.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to support decisions.
• Support manufacturing accounting including inventory and cost accounting.
• Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting.
