Actus Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Chicago Suburbs manufacturing operation. This on-site role covers accounting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing support, inventory control, and office administration.

The ideal candidate has extensive accounting experience in manufacturing, strong QuickBooks use, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end closing
• Process invoices and monitor customer payments
• Maintain cash flow reports and financial records
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and management reports
• Assist with annual audits and tax-related documentation
• Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks
• Prepare customer quotations and sales orders
• Process purchase orders and obtain internal approvals
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, deliveries, and payment terms
• Support purchasing activities and vendor communications
• Maintain inventory records and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Update inventory information in QuickBooks
• Investigate inventory discrepancies
• Support cost accounting and inventory reporting
• Process payroll and assist with employee benefits administration
• Support recruiting and onboarding activities
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and office service providers
• Maintain office operations and administrative functions
• Prepare reports for corporate management as needed
