Job summary

The Factory Controller at Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. partners with Elgin site leadership to oversee financial performance for manufacturing and commercial operations, driving budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.

You will lead onsite A/P and A/R, manage standard costing, improve working capital, and provide ROI analyses for capital investments and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting roles.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and commercial operations environments.
• Prior experience leading or supervising accounting or finance personnel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the finance lead for the Elgin facility, supporting both manufacturing and commercial operations.
• Partner with site leadership to monitor and drive performance across P&L, including revenue, cost, and profitability metrics.
• Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial close activities.
• Perform product, customer, and channel profitability analysis to support pricing, sales strategy, and margin optimization.
• Drive working capital improvements, including inventory management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable optimization.
• Develop and maintain standard costing processes, including annual standard cost updates and variance analysis.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend corrective or proactive actions to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across operations and supply chain functions.
• Provide financial modeling and ROI analysis for business decisions, capital investments, and customer opportunities.
• Participate as an active member of the site leadership team, providing financial insights and challenging assumptions to improve business outcomes.
• Support development and administration of sales targets, incentive programs, and performance tracking metrics.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial reporting in accordance with Company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Drive process improvements, including digitalization and standardization of financial and operational reporting.
