Job summary

Anaergia in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team. You will perform monthly close activities, prepare financial statements for North American entities, and support audits while upholding strong internal controls.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, US GAAP expertise, and advanced Excel skills. Multi-entity and intercompany work experience is a plus; onsite collaboration is expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; US GAAP knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and remit monthly/quarterly workpapers for payroll, intercompany reconciliations, and operating expenses.
• Prepare and remit financial statement packages for Canadian public reporting as needed.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities and support audit requirements.
• Review monthly labor and intercompany billings; monitor costs and ensure proper remittance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Post journal entries and analyze account variances; recommend corrective actions.
