Job summary

Mobius Renewables, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close across multiple entities, manage general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany accounting, and support financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, a CPA/public accounting background is preferred, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills to collaborate with operations, HR, payroll, treasury, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong month-end close experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience with payroll accounting, accruals, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany accounting.
• ERP experience required; Sage Intacct or similar systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
• Record payroll-related journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare bonus accruals and other compensation-related entries.
• Record capitalized labor entries and maintain schedules.
• Review and analyze general ledger activity for accuracy.
• Maintain supporting documentation for all journal entries.
