CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Plant Controller in Thomaston, CT. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cost accounting, and internal controls within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of cost accounting/financial control experience, ERP proficiency (SAP or Oracle), and strong analytical and communication skills. A competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance.
• 3-5 years relevant cost accounting / financial control experience. Exposure to financial management and internal control in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with a modern ERP system (SAP, Oracle…).
• Self-starter in need of little direction.
• Confident communicator with an ability to collaborate with a team/build strong relationships.
• Able to work in deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• Strong ability to focus on cost management.
• Continuous improvement oriented/ Experience working in LEAN manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations (cash, fixed assets, liabilities) ensuring accuracy.
• Lead working capital reporting and optimization initiatives.
• Apply solid internal control processes and risk assessments.
• Support reporting schedules and controlling tools for integration with a new shareholder.
• Maintain cost accounting system and inventory reports/analysis.
• Develop understanding of industrial activities for value-added analysis.
• Contribute to cost-control environment and KPI analysis.
• Monitor budgets/forecasts and propose countermeasures for variances.
• Provide team support to strengthen Finance/Accounting.
