Job summary

Silgan Dispensing Systems in Thomaston, CT, seeks a dedicated finance professional to support the Finance Controller in daily financial operations, cost accounting, and performance analysis across three production units.

You will develop robust reporting, monitor budgets, and contribute to profitability improvements within a lean manufacturing environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to collaborate with management and the broader finance group.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years cost accounting / financial control experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle…).
• Able to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong focus on cost management and analytics.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial communications.
• Oversee working capital reporting and cost control initiatives.
• Support solid internal control processes and risk assessments.
• Maintain reporting schedules and budgeting tools for integration with a new shareholder.
• Deliver inventory reports and cost accounting analyses.
• Develop understanding of industrial activities to support management analysis.
• Contribute to building an efficient cost-control environment and KPI analyses.
• Collaborate with Finance Director and management as a strong team player.
