Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant in Addison, TX to own high-volume, complex accounting, including intercompany transactions and consolidations. This PE-backed, fast-growing environment requires a proactive problem-solver who can mentor staff and partner with leadership.

Responsibilities include overseeing month-end close, preparing consolidated statements, and coordinating external audits while driving process improvements and ERP migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or audit background.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing for external audits and coordinating with tax advisors.
• ERP implementation or system transformation experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with mid-to-large-scale ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close to ensure GAAP-compliant results.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses for data integrity.
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for management and external stakeholders.
• Improve close processes to shorten timelines and improve efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and audit schedules.
