Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a Senior Accountant in Scottsdale, AZ for hybrid work. You will support month-end close, prepare journal entries, and analyze balance sheet activity while collaborating with leadership to improve controls, processes, and reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 4+ years of accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, ERP and Excel proficiency, and excellent analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of corporate accounting and/or public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities while meeting reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and record journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze balance sheet activity and maintain account reconciliations.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and other complex accounting transactions.
• Support internal and external audit requests and compliance initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and financial controls.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development.
