Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations. This role partners with internal stakeholders to strengthen controls and provide meaningful analysis for business decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting analyses for month-end close.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Prepare recurring financial reports and investigate variances or reconciling items.
Gather documentation and provide support for internal and external audits.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash reporting, and financial analysis.
Partner with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting questions and support business decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and recurring workflows.
Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
