Job summary

Covestro AG in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure timely execution of General Accounting aligned with IFRS/CKA guidelines. You will support external audits and drive high-quality Group Financial Statements within your scope.

You’ll advise on accounting topics, handle rebate/commission, CUPS, intangibles and fixed assets, and coordinate quarterly reviews with tax teams, while upholding strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Substantial IFRS knowledge and internal controls exposure.
• Experience supporting external audits and cross-department collaboration.
• SAP FI/CO familiarity and accounting system proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide General Accounting expertise and advise on topics.
• Rebate & commission accounting analysis and review.
• Credit upon Proof of Receipt (CUPS) accounting.
• Intangible & fixed asset in-use analysis.
• Coordinate with Tax group on audits and transfer pricing.
• Close coordination for quarterly accounting reviews.
• Ensure documentation and desktop controls are in place.
• Assist external/internal audits and monthly closings.
