Job summary

EBI Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Burlington, MA. This role owns the month-end close process and most balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce. This is a hybrid role with three days on-site per week at our Burlington, MA headquarters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting roles with escalating responsibility
• Hands-on experience owning month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition
• Experience with back-office functions (AP, AR, payroll, treasury, revenue) preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; ensure accuracy and completeness
• Own the large majority of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Assist with treasury management, cash applications, and forecasting
• Prepare journal entries for financial transactions
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, and AR to ensure correct GL coding and timely cash application
• Review revenue in system weekly and analyze variances; address revenue recognition issues
• Streamline close processes and pursue automation using AI where possible
• Provide payroll processing oversight and coverage as needed; manage expense policy and reports
• Support internal controls and assist with external audits and tax filings
