Job summary

BlueHub Capital in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and month-end close. The role emphasizes ERP (NetSuite) expertise, internal controls, and continuous improvement in a hybrid office schedule (Tue–Thu in office; Mon & Fri remote).

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, US GAAP proficiency, and strong communication across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience in corporate finance or similar roles.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP preferred; exposure to Oracle/SAP is valued.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Record, monitor, and reconcile daily cash transactions with supporting docs.
• Record and reconcile loan transactions in the Loan Management System.
• Manage mortgage borrower remittances and ACH draw activities with the mortgage team.
• Oversee AP processes including vendor invoices, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules; investigate variances.
• Support cash management, ACH/wire processing, disbursements, and deposits.
• Assist with audits by providing schedules and auditor responses.
• Support ERP implementation and process-improvement initiatives.
• Develop accounting policies, workflows, and control documentation.
