Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This onsite role with a hybrid weekly in-office presence supports the Building Products segment and mills, delivering high-quality accounting, reporting, and process improvements.

As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and partner with Operations, Tax, Audit, and Corporate teams. A strong background in fiduciary accounting, continuous learning, and collaboration is required to

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of accounting principles and close processes.
• Experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for Building Products segment and ensure GL accuracy.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Provide ad hoc information and analysis to other departments (Operations, Tax, Audit, etc.).
• Own accounting processes and drive improvement through automation and efficiency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
