Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Building Products segment and mills. This onsite role with a hybrid in-office presence reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting and emphasizes close collaboration, process improvement, and analytical excellence.

You will perform month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and provide analytical support to multiple departments while contributing to internal controls and transformations.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Accounting or Finance focused role with month-end close, GL, reconciliations and IFC awareness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across channels (phone, email, chat, video).
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate to solve problems.
• Flexibility to prioritize in a dynamic environment and improve processes.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and tools and willingness to learn new ones.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for Building Products segment and ensure GL accuracy.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and explain variances.
• Provide ad hoc analyses to Operating Management, Tax, Audit, etc.
• Own accounting workflows and drive efficiency and automation.
• Support internal controls framework and PBM culture.
