Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) team supporting the Higher Education Industry, based out of Minneapolis MN.

You will oversee client service, day-to-day transactions, month-end processing, and quarterly/annual workpapers, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient workflow. Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of accounting/financial experience required; compensation reflects Minnesota market with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required.
• Bachelor's degree is required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Client Service: Develops an understanding of each client's business/operations and manages multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Day to Day Transactions: Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and payroll postings.
• Month End Processing: Coordinates reconciliations and prepares financial statements; reviews general ledger and cash flow.
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and audit/workpapers as requested.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts; supervise efficiency and quality.
• Special Projects: Assists with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
