Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to build a world-class accounting function as the company scales its growing operations. You will lead month-end close, own asset and depreciation processes, and partner with Finance and Operations to implement scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QBooks/NetSuite/Ramp) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive the month end close end-to-end with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own close-cycle areas: fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll, and cash reconciliations.
• Support GL maintenance and evolving reporting structure to meet growing business needs.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and KPI analyses for leadership and investors.
• Collaborate with operations to communicate requirements and ensure audit-ready records.
