Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to build a world‑class accounting function. You’ll drive month‑end close, ensure accurate financials, and collaborate with Finance and Operations to scale systems and controls.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of close experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Ramp. This role is on‑site in a fast‑growth environment with ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles; proficient with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close end-to-end with journal entries, reconciliations, flux and variance analysis.
• Manage close-cycle areas: fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll, cash/bank reconciliations.
• Support GL maintenance and evolving reporting structure for a growing business.
• Prepare monthly financial packages and perform KPI tracking and ad hoc analyses for leadership.
• Communicate requirements clearly to non-finance partners and support system implementations as needed.
