Job summary

Govineer Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the controllers with the close process across its entities. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience with mid-market ERP and payroll systems.

It offers a direct growth path toward Controller in a PE-backed, high-trust environment. You will own month-end close, reconciliations, revenue recognition under ASC 606, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with Finance, Operations, Sales,

Qualifications

• 4+ years progressive accounting experience incl. month-end close and reconciliations
• Strong GAAP and internal controls knowledge
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and lookups
• Experience with mid-market ERPs and payroll systems (Sage Intacct, ADP); CPA a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Perform complex reconciliations across balance sheet, cash, revenue, and GL
• Ensure GAAP revenue recognition per ASC 606 incl. multi-obligations and standalone selling price
• Prepare financial statements and variance analysis for leadership
• Maintain internal controls; support external audits
• Identify workflow gaps and improve close cadence
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, HR to resolve issues
