Job summary

Philadelphia Zoo is seeking a Sr Accountant Revenue and Capital Projects in Philadelphia, PA. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and handles financial reporting, fixed assets, and CIP project records.

The position requires at least 5 years of accounting experience, not-for-profit experience preferred, and proficiency with NetSuite. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate transactions, support audits, and collaborate with vendors and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience; Not-For-Profit experience a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite; Ticketure a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts between systems (Salesforce to Netsuite). Ensure restricted revenue is recorded properly.
• Ensure all donor restrictions are recorded properly, and review purchases to release restrictions.
• Pledge Accounts Receivable ensure recording is accurate and related payments are posted properly.
• Review purchases and convert to fixed asset; post to subsidiary ledger including CIP and progress billings.
• Prepare month-end close journals and contribute to monthly financial packets.
