Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, management, or related field required.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting essential.
• Proficient in Excel, Word; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated knowledge of School Board Policy and TEA requirements.
• Ensure procurement card statements are processed timely and correctly.
• Verify employee advance reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Maintain asset inventory records and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Reconcile asset inventory to the general ledger monthly.
• Schedule physical inventory counts and adjust records.
• Maintain GASB 87 leases and GASB 96 software leases.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and year-end adjustments.
• Assist with month-end close, audits, and financial statements.
