Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years accounting experience; governmental or school district preferred.
• Strong Excel skills for creating and analyzing financial reports.
• Knowledge of GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Ability to analyze financial data and propose compliant improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve electronic purchase orders according to district policies.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger; resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
• Collaborate with finance staff and internal audit to mitigate issues at campuses.
