Job summary

The Trade Desk, headquartered in Ventura, CA, seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Close & Reporting team. You will focus on the close cycle, corporate expenses, and reporting, reporting to the Accounting Manager and collaborating across Finance to improve processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting or related fields, 3+ years’ corporate accounting experience, GAAP proficiency, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, public company experience a plus.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and nested formulas.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month-end close with a focus on corporate expenses, expense allocations and delivering financial and management reports.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analyze account fluxes.
• Manage and facilitate global quarterly flux analysis process.
• Assist in vendor contract review process.
• Work cross-functionally with the Finance Systems team to build new reports and the financial reports catalogue.
• Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, quarterly reviews and SOX processes.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed.
