Command Alkon Incorporated is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its global accounting team in Colorado. You will review COE work, own several balance sheet reconciliations, and manage SG&A and COGS accruals, partnering with the Accounting Manager to elevate reporting quality.

The role emphasizes process improvement, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration, with responsibility for month-end through year-end close, audit support, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience reviewing others' work and providing effective feedback.
• Track record of process improvement in financial ops.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms; NetSuite is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review COE journal entries, reconciliations, and deliverables for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Provide constructive feedback to COE and resolve root causes of errors.
• Own multiple balance sheet reconciliations monthly with audit-ready support.
• Own SG&A and COGS accruals including methodology documentation.
• Support month/quarter/year-end close and deadlines.
• Investigate variances, perform fluctuation analysis, and take corrective actions.
• Lead process improvements and automate accounting workflows.
• Improve cross-department reporting and respond to ad hoc needs.
• Assist in audit schedules and support internal/external audits.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and policies.
