Job summary

RK Mechanical, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core accounting processes, support monthly and year-end close, and provide financial insights to leadership.

You’ll collaborate with the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller to improve efficiency across the accounting department. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3–5+ years of experience, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; Master's degree is a plus.
• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including cash, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Support monthly and year-end close processes.
• Assist with monthly financial statements, schedules, KPIs, and internal reporting packages.
• Prepare audit-ready schedules and analyses for external auditors.
• Assist with tax filings and other compliance reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide financial data and analysis to internal teams across departments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights for leadership.
