Job summary

Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Senior Accountant – Gift, Endowment & Tax Accounting to support accounting, reporting, and tax compliance for gifts, endowments, and related activities. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and performs reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes.

You will research discrepancies, help strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with campus departments to ensure accurate financial information in accordance with GAAP and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and tax compliance for gifts, endowments, investments.
• Prepare journal entries and financial analyses; assist with month-end and year-end closes.
• Research accounting discrepancies and help improve internal controls.
