Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounts Payable team. The role focuses on controlling expenses by processing invoices and expense reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining vendor records in compliance with IRS regulations and university policies.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will code transactions, audit supporting documents, generate payment files, and provide monthly financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 18+ months program in accounting/finance.
• Experience with university accounting systems preferred; Workday/Oracle familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payment requests to ensure compliance with university business expense policies.
• Audit and acquire supporting documentation for all expenses.
• Code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes; enter into the University's financial system.
• Monitor account balances, track expenses, and produce monthly financial reports.
• Develop and maintain assigned supplier portfolio.
