Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Senior Accountant – Gift, Endowment & Tax Accounting to support accounting, reporting, and tax compliance for gifts, endowments, and related activities. The Senior Accountant – Gift, Endowment & Tax Accounting reports to the Assistant Controller and plays a key role in supporting the University’s accounting, reporting, analytical, and tax compliance activities related to gifts, pledges, endowments, investments, and other financial activities. This position performs complex reconciliations, prepares journal entries and financial analyses, and supports month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant also assists with federal and state tax compliance by preparing workpapers, reconciliations, analyses, and supporting documentation, including activities related to Forms 990 and 990-T and potential unrelated business income tax (UBIT) matters. Working with a high degree of independence, the Senior Accountant researches and resolves accounting discrepancies, identifies opportunities to improve processes and internal controls, and collaborates with departments across the University to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
