Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting - GAAP to support the preparation, analysis, and reporting of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, SEC filings, and related disclosures.

You will collaborate with Financial Reporting and other finance teams, maintain SOX controls, and drive process improvements while ensuring accuracy, policy adherence, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5 years of financial reporting or insurance accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP financial statements and related disclosures.
• Knowledge of SEC reporting and disclosure practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and SEC filings.
• Analyze financial results, trends, and variances.
• Assist with investment accounting and reporting activities.
• Support SOX controls and internal audit requests.
