Job summary

One Accounting seeks a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare statements, and ensure regulatory compliance for the firm and its clients. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to support financial health while handling multiple accounting functions.

The role covers bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll, payables/receivables, bank reconciliations, audits, and client interaction using modern accounting software.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (CPA/CA) certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Indian and Canadian tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.
• Support internal audits and client audit requests.
• Interact with clients to gather financial information as needed.
• Utilize accounting software and stay updated on technology.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare annual returns and maintain documentation.
• Conduct reconciliations of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
