Job summary

gpaexternalcareers Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting will maintain the accounting system, budgeting, reporting and financial analysis under the Manager of Financial Reporting. You will promote accuracy and compliance, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key duties include month-end close coordination, GASB/GAAP reporting, audit coordination with external auditors, and assisting with CAFR preparation and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of accounting experience required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge required.
• Knowledge of GASB desirable.
• Excellent Excel skills and PC proficiency.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close schedules and ensure accurate GL and ledgers.
• Produce and review GASB/GAAP financial reporting and statements.
• Prepare variance analyses and budget vs actual reports.
• Assist with SAP FI/CO and related modules; coordinate audits.
• Support preparation of CAFR, grant reporting and year-end data.
