Job summary

Medal.TV is seeking a Senior Accountant to own US accounting operations, including AP, AR, and Medal billing, plus reconciliations and a rapid month-end close. You’ll report to the Global Controller, apply a strong US GAAP foundation, and drive automations with AI-native tooling (Rillet, Ramp) while bringing work in-house from an external partner; knowledge of EU practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of accounting experience, ideally including Big 4 or public accounting and time at a high-growth company.
• CPA or CPA track preferred.
• Knowledge of EU accounting practices a plus, especially where we operate.
• Autonomous in a fast-paced startup with extreme attention to detail.
• Experience bringing accounting in-house from an outsourced firm or across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounts payable: invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment runs, reimbursements, vendor communications, and 1099s.
• Own accounts receivable and billing for Medal, including invoicing, cash application, collections.
• Own reconciliations: bank, credit card, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support US month-end close with accruals, prepaids, and journal entries; ensure close within 5 business days.
• Manage US bank accounts and rolling cash flow forecast.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and a clean US ledger.
• Support revenue recognition, audits, tax filings, and investor/diligence requests.
• Leverage AI-native tooling to automate manual work and reduce error risk.
