Medal seeks a Senior Accountant to own US accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, Medal billing, and month-end close.

You will maintain reconciliations, support tax filings and audits, work with a Global Controller, and help bring work in-house from an outsourced partner, with a fast, accurate close.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle AP including invoicing, coding, approvals, payments
• AR and billing for Medal, invoicing and cash application
• Reconciling bank, credit card, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts
• US month-end close support with accruals and journals
• Manage US bank accounts and rolling cash flow forecast
• Maintain audit-ready vendor records and ledgers
• Support revenue recognition, audits, taxes, and diligence requests
• AI-native tooling to automate manual work and reduce error risk
• 4–7 years accounting experience; Big 4/public and high-growth company preferred; CPA preferred
• EU accounting knowledge is a plus for intercompany/consolidation work
• Autonomous, detail-oriented startup mindset; in-house transition experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounts payable processes including invoice intake, approvals, and payments
• Own accounts receivable and Medal billing, applying cash and managing collections
• Perform monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts
• Support US month-end close with accruals, prepaids, and journal entries
• Manage US bank accounts and cash flow forecasting
• Keep the US ledger clean with accurate coding and audit-ready documentation
• Support revenue recognition, audits, tax filings, and diligence requests
• Leverage Rillet and Ramp to automate routine accounting tasks and reduce errors
