Job summary

Partnership Employment is seeking a Senior Accountant with CPA and nonprofit experience to join a well-established nonprofit serving children and families in New York City. The role focuses on managing accounting and reporting for grants and the finance team, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Based onsite in East Harlem, the Senior Accountant will own close processes, oversee grant accounting, and support budgeting and variance analysis, with overtime during audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, nonprofit preferred.
• Strong grant accounting and payroll allocation experience.
• Advanced Excel; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Able to work overtime during audits and deadlines.
