Job summary

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and expertise in project accounting and process improvements within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction/project accounting experience preferred.
• WIP reporting, job costing, project invoicing, month-end close experience.
• Financial statement preparation and GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Manage WIP reporting and project accounting activities.
• Analyze job costs and monitor project profitability.
• Oversee project invoicing and revenue recognition processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with project managers and leaders on financial results.
• Supervise and mentor an Accounting Assistant.
• Support the Controller with day-to-day activities.
