Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, retainage and WIP.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Sage 100 Contractor or Sage Intacct Construction.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• AIA billing and percentage-of-completion knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of subcontract management and construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting activities for assigned construction projects.
• Review and process project invoices, POs, and subcontractor payments.
• Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and contract balances.
• Prepare owner billings, AIA applications, and progress invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on collections.
• Process subcontractor pay apps and ensure contract compliance.
• Maintain and track change orders, retainage, and lien waivers.
• Assist with monthly job cost reviews and profitability analysis.
• Prepare WIP schedules and assist with project forecasting.
• Reconcile project accounts and investigate cost variances.
• Collaborate with PMs for accurate financial reporting and budget adherence.
• Support month-end and year-end close and audits.
