Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, schedules, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end close journal entries and analyses focusing on inventory, COGS, and gross margin accounts.
• Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations to ensure GL accuracy.
• Analyze large volumes of data to identify trends and accounting issues.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies while ensuring policy compliance.
• Collaborate with AP, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations to support close and reporting accuracy.
• Conduct variance analyses and provide insights into financial drivers.
• Assist audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Document and enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in system implementations and process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Help develop standardized procedures and best practices.
