Job summary

Talently is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close across multiple entities and intercompany accounts in a fast-growing finance environment. You will work closely with leadership, ensuring clean books and timely closes, and you will help drive efficiency on processes and controls.

Qualifications

• A hands-on accountant who takes pride in clean books and closes on time without hand-holding.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of progressive experience
• Financial services industry background
• Multi-entity consolidation and inter-company accounting experience
• Month-end close experience
• Daily AP and financial statement preparation experience

Responsibilities

• Reconcile lending and investment balances to outside statements and run down every variance
• Consolidate multiple entities and clear inter-company balances so they tie out
• Keep your schedules audit-ready year-round and work directly with outside auditors
• Turn out financial statements and the supporting schedules leadership relies on
• Own the month-end and year-end close timeline from first entry to final tie-out
• Write down how things work and fix what is clunky as you go
• Keep billing and cash application moving so receivables stay current
• Run daily payables with sharp coding, clean approvals, and no month-end surprises
