Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant in California to support month-end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness. You will collaborate with operations and leaders to improve processes and controls, while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting.

The role requires 4+ years of accounting experience, ERP proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics), and strong Excel/analytical skills. CPA progress is preferred; public accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Assist with financial statements and schedules.
• Support external audits and provide documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Partner with operations to resolve accounting issues.
• Research technical accounting and implement new standards.
• Mentor junior accounting staff.
