Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant in San Jose, CA to join a tight-knit accounting team. You will own complex general ledger activities, support month-end close, and ensure accuracy across key balance sheet accounts.

The role requires hands-on, solutions-oriented professionals with strong technical accounting expertise. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, expertise in GL and reconciliations, and familiarity with prepaids, accruals, and tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong GL skills.
• Experience with prepaid accounts, accruals, and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax and ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage full-cycle general ledger accounting and reconciliations across balance sheet.
• Oversee high-volume prepaid accounts, including amortization schedules.
• Reconcile credit card accounts and ensure GL-statement alignment.
• Analyze RGNI and accrual-related accounts and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries; support month-end close (≈5 days).
• Assist with sales/use tax compliance and provide AP backup support.
• Collaborate with Accounting Manager to improve processes and reporting.
• Mentor junior staff and provide accounting guidance.
