Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the general ledger, support month-end close, and prepare financial analyses. This hands-on role partners with operational leaders and the Controller to ensure accurate reporting and robust financial controls.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of job costing and project accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project accounting preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and schedules for Controller review.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate audit schedules and supporting documentation for audits.
• Assist with tax reporting and other regulatory filings.
• Support daily banking activities, including cash management and deposits.
• Analyze monthly results and variance trends to inform management decisions.
• Review job cost reports and collaborate with Project Managers on variances.
