Job summary

Senior Staff Accountant role in Hudson, Ohio on-site is open for an individual with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and a strong GAAP background. You will support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with process improvements, financial analysis, and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting activities.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations while ensuring balance sheet accuracy.
• Assist with inventory, cash, receivables, payables, and other core accounting functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
