Job summary

Perforce Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Minneapolis. You will own month-end close, produce financial reporting, and work with management to analyze performance while upholding internal controls.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred, and proficiency with major ERP systems. You will collaborate across departments in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience at a staff accountant level or higher.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Operational experience with a major accounting system (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, SAP).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to interpret new guidance.
• Experience documenting and improving systems and processes.
• Proactive, positive attitude; able to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for external audits.
• Assist with preparation and review of financial reports (balance sheets, income statements).
• Implement process and system improvements as needed by the business.
• Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Other accounting duties as requested.
